JustinMcClure.tv Emphasizes Creativity, Supports Limeades for Learning

August 30, 2011 (Wichita, KS) — SONIC®, America’s Drive-In® has teamed up with DonorsChoose.org for the third year to provide funds to public school teachers and classrooms through the Limeades for Learning initiative. The program recognizes that as funding is cut from schools, teachers spend money out of their own pockets for learning materials to use in their classrooms. In the past two years, SONIC and its franchisees have donated more than $1.3 million to help teachers inspire creativity among their students.

Wichita-based JustinMcClure.tv, an animation and motion graphics studio, understands the importance of creativity in the classroom.

“It’s unfortunate that many public schools are lacking the resources to help children express their creativity,” said Justin McClure, owner of JustinMcClure.tv. “My job is centered on being creative and imagining the impossible. I am grateful to have had teachers who inspired me to be artistic; which is a vital part of who I am today.”

JustinMcClure.tv animated the 45-second intro video for LimeadesforLearning.com. Contracted by Barkley, SONIC’s public relations and cause branding agency, JustinMcClure.tv brought Aaron Meshon’s illustrations to life. The animation provides information about this year’s Limeades for Learning program in a friendly and fun way. To view the video, visit LimeadesforLearning.com and click on the “See How” button.

This year, there are more than 70 classrooms in the state of Kansas alone that are competing for their project to be funded by SONIC. Anyone with a valid e-mail address can vote once daily for their favorite teacher or project at LimeadesforLearning.com. Voting begins August 29th and ends September 30th. Butler Community College

We’ve all had those days where pretty much anything and everything goes wrong and we just feel like giving up. But when Butler Community College presented the song “I Can” by the Minnutes it became the inspiration for their newest broadcast spot. As the lyrics go “I can do anything,” we were motivated to push through and make a totally killer spot with a quick turnaround time. We combined illustrations and photo real cutouts along with footage shot on a RED camera to achieve the collage-esque look.

Copa Libertadores is one of the most watched events in the world. For this year’s futbol competition, Mocean asked us to help create a look and feel for the promo. They used some of the styleframes we designed to make a nice looking spot. You can watch the games on FOX Deportes this month.

Creative director, Jan Van den Bossche contracted us to animate a promo for a one-day international music festival. We designed and illustrated some simple beach themed elements based off the event poster and made everything come to life. The Belgium event is attended by 20,000+ children and is held on the last day of school.

With March Madness in the air we are excited to show off the newest spot we created with Brothers & Company for Kansas Oil and Gas Resources Fund, Inc. We built a rough animatic during the creative process that laid out each scene so the client could envision the story coming to life. This also meant there would be no surprises on shoot day for Ron Berg, director of photography and the 15+ people who helped bring the animatic to life.

A special thanks to Wyandotte High School in Kansas City for letting us commandeer their beautiful facility for the day.
