I had the opportunity to work on another in-store display for Sprint and the project turned out really well. I worked with several other animators on the project, a lot of which was done in 3d, and it was a great experience all around.

Work In Progress: Red Camera Shoot

Last week I had the opportunity to fly out to Aspen, Colorado for a video shoot for work on an upcoming project. I worked closely with Jason Dewey and Anson Fogel from Forge Motion Pictures, who are both amazingly talented photographers and videographers. We filmed the whole shoot on a RED camera setup which was amazing to work with, coming from the world of broadcast and standard definition it is amazing to see the leaps and bounds with which technology has grown in just a few short years. The RED camera took awesome footage and I am looking forward to showing the final product once the project is completed. Stay tuned, for now check out the behind the scenes pictures below.

This spot was created on a very short timeline, but every project I work on goes through a vigorous creative process no matter how soon the deadline is. Here's a quick inside peek at some of the steps behind the process. First there are sketches.

Then animation boards were created.

Then a short animatic and finally the animation. Below are several still frames from the final product from above.

Sprint Ribbon Monitors

I recently completed a set of animations for various ribbon monitors inside of the Sprint Studio store in Kansas City. The animations were developed for either 3 or 5 panel displays that were set up at various points inside of the store to showcase some of the latest incentives for becoming a Sprint customer.

Rerendered merges with VideoHive

Many of you may not be aware, but JustinMcClure.tv was the driving force behind an after effects project site called Rerendered. One of the first of its kind, the site was dedicated to after effects artists being able to sell some of their creative work via after effects project files. After a very successful run, Rerendered has merged with VideoHive which is a part of the Envato networks of creative marketplaces.
